  The Optimum Lightpath Service Terms and Conditions is the operating agreement between Optimum Lightpath and its commercial customers. It outlines the rules and guidelines to which all customers are expected to adhere. Occasionally, and usually unintentionally, a customer will violate one or more of the terms and conditions of Optimum Lightpath service. Cablevision has a High-Speed Data Security Team that responds to many of the more serious violations. Here are some of the more common abuses and how to handle them:

  • SPAM
  • Hacking
  • Threats/Harassment
  • Child Pornography

  Child Pornography
  The possession, manufacturing or distribution of child pornography is illegall, and using Cablevision's Optimum Lightpath service or network to view, share or distribute child pornography is a violation of our Terms of Service.
  
  You can also help make the Internet safe for everyone.
  If you suspect, view or have a complaint involving child pornography, please send it to cp-abuse@cv.net. You may also contact the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) to make a report through its Cybertipline at cybertipline.org.
